This is a digital art tutorial done for Animation West Africa’s YouTube’s channel AWATv by me. Being my first time doing a lengthy video series for online viewing and sharing. It took roughly 8 months plus to get it recorded and post edited for online upload. I am a big fan of Marvel’s Black Panther and it got the highest votes on a group poll for what they wanted done on the channel.

ONLINE 3D VISUALIZATION COURSE - THINK RENDER
Render like a pro was created out of a strong desire to educate artists in the most clear and concise way to approach visualization. Rendering may be based on scientific theories, but the creation of a striking image is born of a strong knowledge of visual and artistic communication. Enjoy the ride.

First Question

Where do I Start?

I like to think that learning any art form (visualization inclusive) should be as seamless and as natural as a child learning to speak. Seriously! How many of us actually knew what Nouns and Adjectives were before we started using them in our statements?  We all learnt to speak because of an innate need to communicate our ideas and feelings. The words are simply tools for expression.

This is same with visualization, software and all its settings are simply tools to help you communicate your ideas. Really your clients don’t care if you created your renderings using a rock, they just want to see good images and realizing this would bring you to the real question.
