Hyper Realistic Artworks of Oresegun Olumide

I came across this amazing Nigerian artist’s hyper photo-realistic painting via Facebook by a friend who shared his works. It has gone on to be viral and shared  on most blogs in Nigeria and newspaper websites here was not going to be an exception. His name is you ask is Oresegun Olumide, a graduate of Yaba College of Technology, Nigeria’s premier institution for technical education which also happens to be my father’s alma mata with some family members of mine*winks winks*Here is the school’s official website.

Animation West Africa Foundation popularly known as AWA presents to you their official Show reel to celebrate the New Month of March 2016.
They have put together some of the individual and collaborative projects from community members.

This is the official face/platform of West African Animation and CG Art which is changing the way the African artists are seen, fostering unity among members, encouraging the synergy of teamwork and a new generation of passionate artists whose creativity knows no bounds even with their challenging environments which are not really supporting their creative pursuits.

Adobe Design Achievement Awards 2016

Adobe has just announced the 2016 edition of their global digital media competition for students, the Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA).
This is one of the most important international student competitions and launches the next generation of student careers.
Prizes include 12-month Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps memberships, invitations to attend the Adobe MAX Conference held in San Diego, California, 1–4 Nov, 2016, yearly Mentorship prizes and much more.
ADAA is open for both individual and group entries. Up to three unique projects may be submitted by each participant, in each of the 14 competition categories, listed below and divided in 3 main segments.

  • Fine Arts Segment
    • Photography
    • Graphic Design / Print Design
    • Illustration
    • Animation / Motion Graphics
    • Video Editing / Post-Production
  • Commercial Segment
    • Photography
    • Graphic Design / Print Design / Illustration
    • Animation / Motion Graphics
    • Video Editing / Post-Production
    • Packaging Design
    • Web / App / Game Design
  • Social Impact Segment
    • Photography / Graphic Design / Print Design / Illustration
    • Animation / Motion Graphics / Video Editing / Post-Production
    • Web / App / Game Design
The entries, whether submitted by an individual or a group, shall be judged together in each category on a point system, based on:
  1. Originality (30%),
  2. Effectiveness in meeting their communication objective (40%), and
  3. Contestant(s) skills in applying Adobe products as specified in their entry forms (30%).
The top five finalists in each design category or region will be announced on 28 August 2016.
