Yippee!!! It’s
my great pleasure to introduce the dedicated vlog channels on YouTube, Facebook, and IGTV for my blog. It’s been an
interesting journey of learning about posting articles, driving traffic, social
media networking with digital marketing for me. I got motivated to get serious
with my blog from way back in 2015 to deal with the stress of working at a
crappy job in the busy city of Lagos, Nigeria (which I say in the video). I
actually opened the blog in 2011 inspired by some other popular blogs.

That
was also the year I discovered the usefulness of YouTube
(other than funny cat videos) and Vimeo for knowledge in creative design and
tech with various premium sites out there like Pluralsight, Lynda, Envato,
Udemy,
Cubebrush, Gumroad, CG Cookie
to mention a few. I got fascinated with video tutorials and the whole course
creation process from then till now which has taken a record 9 years to get me
confident enough to dive into making mine. Back then though I knew the tools
but didn’t believe I had enough experience to offer.
Fast
forward to today, it’s a different story of the good, bad, and ugly learned
working and insight gained in different roles in creative design I have been
privileged to hold as a fulltime employee and freelancer for over 11 years
from 2005-2016 to facing being a full-time freelancer. It hasn’t been a bed of
roses but comes with challenges so far that have been a worthwhile adventure so
far.
You
probably wondering what the content is going to focus on mainly. Well, that’s
the easy part which is architectural visualization, digital art, and multimedia
based on my diverse background and promises to be insightful. To get a taste of
what I’m bringing to my vlog. You can check out the Black Panther tutorial I did for
AWA Tv’s YouTube channel some
months back.
A big shout
out to my parents, the amazing Mr. and Mrs. Akinayo for encouraging me right
from when I could draw at age 3 to stay in my creative design till date with my
extended family and supportive friends cheering me on. Not forgetting the YouTube
channels that also inspired me to get online who I have to credit as well. They
are Hassan Cortex Anifowose, Chronos Studeos,
Edu Shola,
Deluxe Creation Studios, Owolabi Akano,
Godwin Akpan,
Tobe Max Ezeogu,
Michael Olasubomi Balogun, How to Draw Comics. NET, K MichaelRussell, Robert Marzullo,
Stanley‘Artgerm’ Lau, AskNK
and Zarife.
Thanks to them.
